There is all the excitement of romantic music in this High Porcelain limited edition recreating the magic of open-air concerts. Tea in The Garden Women Sculpture. Limited Edition

Lladró figurines often reference a timeless romanticism, an undefined but still extremely familiar world in space and time. Here, we find all that is good, noble and beautiful in life. Such is the case with ´The Tea´, which presents us with a peaceful, evocative scene. The key to the realism and beauty of this work is its mise-en-scene, in which the delicate figures of the protagonists and precise decoration of their surroundings take on significance. This High Porcelain limited edition captures the refinement of an entire era, in a bucolic scene reflecting the leisurely cadence of a unique moment. Special mention should be given to the roughly 300 flowers, some of which form a complex bower and which posed a technical challenge to Lladró experts, particularly in firing. The fans and dresses of the three ladies are enhanced with embroidery and hand-painted prints and lace. More than 70 colours have been used for decoration of a piece full of the minute details which turn the entire piece into a masterpiece.

Goddess Durga Sculpture. Limited Edition

“Portraying Durga, the goddess who alleviates the suffering of all people on Earth, who protects the righteous and establishes benevolence and order, was both a challenge and an honor for Lladró artists. Made in a combination of glazed and matte porcelain, Durga is depicted sitting on the back of a spectacular tiger with striking blue eyes, symbolizing the goddess’s will and determination. The eight arms with which she is portrayed, each one holding a symbol of the different powers given to her by the gods, seem to have a movement of their own, while the goddess’s body and face convey a sense of peace and compassion. The composition is decorated with the signature deep red color of Hindu iconography and a spectrum of colors that includes faded browns, turquoises and mauves. These tonalities are enhanced by the use of carefully applied golden luster and a garland of flowers made up of 280 white and 7 pink petals, in addition to the delicate lotus flower she is holding in one of her hands. All these flowers are handmade, petal by petal.”

The animals feature their typical tear-shaped stripes from eyes to mouth and spotted fur that is exceptionally detailed. The name Mirembe means “peace and quiet”, a perfect representation of this tranquil scene with a mother cheetah and her two young cubs. This creation will enhance any home as a testament to the uniqueness and beauty of these animals, as well as the importance of protecting their delicate habitat.
